Pondering...The more I hear about the Christian heavan, the less I want to go. I know, heavan is supposed to be perfect and everything but there are a coupld of things that bug me about it. Like Revalations says that there will be no seas in heavan. The sea is my favourite place in the whole world! If there aren't any up there, I'm not going. You can't have perfection without oceans.
The other annoying thing is that, basically, you forget who you are. You go up there and you don't remember anything of your life on Earth. Well, there are a few things I really REALLY want to remember, like Kiwi Forever. I want to remember who my family was, so I can meet them, I want to remember my friends. In life when you start anew, you can still remember your old life, who your friend were, who your family is. From what I've heard, going to heavan would be a bit like getting amnesia, but without any oceans.
Honestly, the more I hear about it, the less great it seems. Is it just me, or do other people think these things would make a sucky heavan?

As for your post "Pondering", my understanding of heaven is that life there continues from life here, making life here a very valuable learning experience. So rather than forgetting yourself, you expand and become a "self" that if you could see now, you'd want to bow to your knee and worship (paraphrased from CS Lewis).
Also, it seems to me, that if oceans make you happy and if you think it wouldn't be heaven without oceans, then for sure, there will be oceans there. Isn't God a loving God and wanting to make you happy forever? In the Bible it talks about the animals praising God, so sea creatures would be included, would they not?
